About Joe:
Joe grew up in a culture where building your own home and starting a family before your 20 was the norm. As such, he was driven to pursue a career in the construction industry, specifically in the fields of masonry and concrete. He spent many years working on large-scale projects, such as apartment buildings and palaces for wealthy oil tycoons in the Middle East. Upon Coming to Canada, Joe primarily worked as a general contractor. However, he noticed a significant gap in the market for skilled waterproofing contractors. In response, he founded Guardian Seal in 2008, He ran the business alongside his sons for several years until he was forced to retire due to a work-related injury in 2018. Despite his retirement, Joe's legacy in the construction industry remains strong, and his contributions to the waterproofing field have had a lasting impact.
About Kal:
Kal got his start in waterproofing , Excavation and Concrete repairs digging and exposing concrete for waterproofing related projects for a general Contractor.Manual digging is required for many waterproofing jobs given the limited access and space for mechanical excavation.throughout his career he was exposed to many other Skills required to Take on more complicated jobs in their entirety. Carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, Painting and Concrete just to name a few.Kal Became Foreman of a crew of up to 6 guys And was managing multiple projects at a time.
In 2014 He was approached by a company looking a Skilled Chemical grouting technician to lead a crew to Complete 1500 meters of Injection on The Bloor Viaduct.A large bridge with a 6 lane roadway and subway track below it.Kal continued working with this Company on other infrastructure projects such as Subway tunnels, Culverts,Water treatment plants and other bridges.
In 2016 Kal decided to Subcontract for multiple Commercial and Residential waterproofing companies.Kal maintained a relationship with the Company doing infrastructure work and would take on the occasional project.
In 2019 Kal Teamed up with Hspi Construction for a Joint Venture to repair 7 Culverts in need of Concrete and Epoxy repairs.The Environmental conditions, timelines and a lack of skilled Labour made the projects very difficult and required many day and overnight Shifts.
About Ryan:
Ryan's upbringing on a farming property allowed him to develop a wide range of skills and experiences from a young age. He was responsible for managing the operations on the large property, which included tasks such as equipment and vehicle maintenance, tree and land clearing, and even construction work. Ryan quickly became a jack of all trades, accustomed to hard work and taking on new challenges. In addition to his diverse skill set, Ryan has also excelled in the field of waterproofing and concrete repair. He has worked on numerous projects and is always striving to improve his knowledge and skills in order to provide the most efficient and satisfactory results for our clients. Ryan's dedication to learning and growth is evident in everything he does, making him a valuable asset to our team.
About Masen:
Masen has always had a passion for heavy equipment, starting at a young age. As he grew older, he worked tirelessly to become a skilled heavy equipment operator, proficient in operating a wide range of machines, from small 1 ton mini excavators to massive 15 ton beasts. When a tough job needs to be done, Masen is the go-to person.
Not only is he highly skilled at operating the equipment, but he also has extensive knowledge of related tasks, such as grading and site preparation. He is reliable and efficient, making him an invaluable asset to any construction or excavation project.
